Newly-elected President of Belfast Old Instonians’ Association, Philip Seay, met up with Jack McMillan to congratulate him on his fantastic achievement of being part of the Great Britain Men’s 4 x 200 metre Freestyle Relay Gold Medal winning team.
Philip, a former Inst swimmer, caught up with Jack, just before he returned to Stirling to recommence his rigorous training schedule.
Jack thanked Philip for all the support and encouragement that he had received during the Paris Olympic Games. “It’s really great to know that the Old Boys’ Association is following my progress and I appreciate all the messages of support that I have received from many of you”. “It’s also great to know that the boys at school can relate to me; as I only left a few years ago and I hope that I can inspire some of them to strive for that goal in years to come”.
