The BOIA Centenary Fund was established in 2011 to celebrate the centenary of the foundation of the Association. The purpose of the Fund was to provide the school with items of equipment that would not ordinarily be available from day-to-day school funding.
The Centenary is now more that 15 years old and the Council of BOIA has decided that it is now time to change the name of the fund to“The President’s Fund”. The purpose of the fund will remain the same and donations to the new Fund will be used exactly as before.
To date the Centenary Fund has been able to fund the following items:
- Concert Piano for use in the Common Hall
- Staging for use in performances in the Common Hall
- 3 D printers for the technology Suite
- Fitness equipment for the gymnasium
- Oars for the Rowing Club
- Trailer for transporting equipment School Scout Group
- Electronic Piano for the Music Department
- Electronic software for the Robotics Team
- Lectern for Debating Society
- Books and DVDs for the Book club and Film club
Members will be able to donate to the President’s Fund in the same way as before – either with your annual membership subscription or directly via our website (boia.org.uk).
